Med Learning Academy
A study platform for Morocco's residency exams
A Casablanca prep school trains doctors for Morocco's residency exams. I built its study platform in 2024, and rebuilt it in 2026 as a public site and a study app: corrections, revision, a study plan, an AI tutor and live classes.

I · The school
A prep school for the residency exams
Med Learning Academy is a prep school at Technopark in Casablanca. It prepares Moroccan doctors for the Internat and the Résidanat, the exams that decide their specialty.
I built its first study platform in 2024: students practised past clinical cases, and about 920 accounts were registered on it. In 2026 I rebuilt it as two apps, a public site and the study app behind it.
II · What I made
Two apps, for students, tutors and editors
Designed and built in full, for the school's students, tutors and editors:
- The public site, with a real clinical case you can answer before signing up.
- The study app: past cases, corrections, revision, a study plan, mock exams and progress.
- Toubib, an AI tutor, with his own character.
- Classes for the school's tutors: chat, calendars, video calls, a whiteboard and recordings.
- A back office to write and import questions and to follow what the AI costs.
III · Studying
Practise, see why, revise
A student starts from today's work: what is due for revision, then what the plan puts next. A past case is played timed or untimed. After it, every answer is corrected one proposition at a time, with its justification and the course it comes from.
Mistakes come back as revision cards on their own, and a plan spreads the work over the days left before the exam.
3a. Today. The student's home: today's plan, cards due, the last seven days and the next mock exam.
3b. Exam player. A clinical case in progress: the case statement, propositions A to E, a question flagged “Pas sûr” and the question grid.
3c. Score. After submitting: partial-credit and all-or-nothing scores, with a breakdown by sub-module.
3d. Revision. Spaced revision: questions due today, cards by stage, and the error notebook.
3e. Planning. A day-by-day study plan up to the exam date, which reorganises itself as days are ticked off.
3f. Progress. Results over time and success rate by module, with the weakest sub-modules to work on.
IV · Toubib
A tutor who shows his sources
Toubib is a fennec and the platform's tutor. He explains a correction from the official answer and the school's own courses, and shows his sources. He stays silent on a question during a graded exam.
The school decides how much he may cost: answers are shared between students, each student has limits, and he pauses himself when the budget runs out.
V · Classes
Tutors, in the same place
The school's tutors run their groups in the app: discussions, a shared calendar, video calls with a whiteboard and live questions, recordings, and each student's progress, which students agree to share.
5a. Live call. A class call with the shared whiteboard and the live tools: questions, quiz, poll, attendance.
5b. Class chat. The class discussion between a tutor and two students.
5c. Class tracking. Each student's success rate, recent activity and homework, plus class calls and attendance.
5d. Assignment. A past exam set as homework for the class.
VI · The back office
Where the questions come from
Editors write questions or import whole past papers from PDF, then check them before they are published. Every edit is kept as a version, so a student's score never changes behind their back.
6a. Studio. The editors' studio: reports, imports, drafts and translations to handle.
6b. Exam editor. An exam in the editor: its plan of cases and questions, and its settings.
6c. PDF import. Importing a past exam from a PDF, with an optional answer key.
6d. Admin overview. Platform usage and content at a glance, by module.
VII · The look
Warm, and calm where it counts
Flat blocks of colour on cream paper: calm where students read, playful at the edges. Each subject has its colour, and nothing moves during an exam. The logo and the first branding are Ayoub Bennouna's; he is reworking the logo now.
- Apricot #fa8a52
- Logo orange #ed4b00
- Lemon #ffee9c
- Mint #a3edbe
- Lilac #d1bffb
- Paper #fdfaf4
- Graphite #1d1c1a
VIII · Where it stands
Two versions
The first platform is live. The rework is in a private preview and replaces it before the end of 2026. Moving the existing accounts and answers across has been rehearsed on a copy of the live data, with every count matching.
